This exhibition concludes the three-part series of introductions to the collection of the Hilti Art Foundation that has been running since the opening of the exhibition building in May 2015.

Drawing on the rich trove of works from the 19th century to the present, this exhibition once again presents a high-calibre, representative selection. On show are new acquisitions of Medardo Rosso, Paul Klee and Keith Sonnier, but also Alexej Jawlensky, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Archipenko, Imi Knoebel and Klaus Staudt. Accompanied by previously exhibited works of Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Neoplasticism and abstract and Concrete Art, they present a living image of an epoch in which different styles and themes testify to the wealth of the artistic imagination.

Not only in this show, but also in future exhibitions, the Hilti Art Foundation continues to paint a vivid picture of this era, constantly adding to its collection.

The exhibition is curated by Uwe Wieczorek, curator of the Hilti Art Foundation.
