"The Importance of Being Earnest" is the title of a comedy by Oscar Wilde, one of Britain’s most flamboyant literary and intellectual figures at the turn of the twentieth century.

Given the fact that Wilde was a master of camouflage, that is to say the technique, when dealing with a particular subject, of focusing on its corresponding opposite, or anti-subject. This collection dialogue refers to the major special exhibition Don't Smile. On the Humour of Art on the top floor of the museum. What appears at first glance to be the antithesis to the special exhibition, on closer inspection turns out to be not as clear-cut.

On display are works by Erwin Bohatsch, Peter Fischli/David Weiss, Mike Kelley and Fritz Rahmann.
