Light is the key to Rising with a Sun, a presentation of works from the collection. The focus is on the sun as a motif and the untold ways in which natural and artificial light can be perceived in a room.

Beginnings, waking up, starting all over again are salient themes that join the light in this exhibition. Circles and verticals are the main elements of the exhibition design.

This presentation from the collection of the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein was designed in the course of the seminar "Presentation and Staging as the Analysis of Cultural Phenomena", conducted by Friedemann Malsch and Christiane Meyer-Stoll at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. In conjunction with their inquiry into curatorial issues, the students worked out various proposals for a presentation. Veronika Siurbyte's design was selected and executed. It is dedicated to Bill Bollinger, an artist forgotten for many decades and represent- ed in the exhibition on the second floor: a new beginning, so to speak, and an awakening.

On display are works from Joseph Beuys, Max Bill, Alexander Stirling Calder, Francesco Clemente, Carin Ellberg, Dan Flavin, Barbara Hepworth, Leiko Ikemura, Jasper Johns, Matthew McCaslin, Steven Parrino, Jesus Rafael Soto, Jason Rhoades, Jessica Stockholder and Martin Walch.
