The "Wurzel-Wunderkammer" (Wonder Chamber of Roots) grabs this former grand meeting place of rulers by the roots, rearranging it in the realm between treasure-chamber, cabinet of absurdities, and contact zone to our society, ourselves and our senses.

Tasting the unknown, sniffing the forgotten, marvelling at the unusual and alien, the root turns out to be an underground vehicle of meaning and information which equally displays its effects above ground.

In cooperation with the Walserherbst Festival, Grosses Walsertal.

Walserherbst – A high-pitched festival in the mountains!

The Walserherbst is a cultural festival for contemporary art and culture in the Grosses Walsertal Biosphere Park (Vorarlberg). Since 2004 the Walserherbst has been staging a blend of tradition and contemporary culture on a biannual basis. For three weeks in the late summer the festival turns the entire valley into a stage, its programme spanning a range of different genres: music and literature, theatre and performance, European film d'auteur and photography, cuisine and arts and crafts.

Project space 'Parliament of Plants'
17 July 2020–17 January 2021

As part of the exhibition Parliament of Plants, the admission-free 'Seitenlichtsaal' is conceived as a changing, growing "project space". It links the immediate outside world with questions of art and will enablemeetings between a wide range of scientific and artistic-poetic approaches to and perspectives on the plant kingdom.

A production of Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, curated by Christiane Meyer-Stoll with Annett Höland, co-curator of the project space.
