The gesture, in its intrinsic artistic value, achieved a special significance in Abstract Expressionism and subsequently was modified again and again. The spectrum of the examination of creative movement within the framework of artistic activity reaches from dynamic gesticulation to the captured or the machinized gesture, all the way to gesture translated through the media.
This presentation unites works by Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter, Bruce Nauman, Roy Lichtenstein, Willem de Kooning, Jannis Kounellis and Gilberto Zorio.
