    Salon Liz:
    Rumor

2pm Artist talk: From "godsibb" to "gossip"
3pm Presentation of the magazine "Rumor"
with Salon Liz (Anna Hilti / Stefanie Thöny / Anita Zumbühl)

The multi-part project Rumor  was developed especially for the exhibition On the Street and deals with the dynamics and function of rumour and gossip. Over the course of a month, Salon Liz have been working regularly in an open studio in the side-light gallery, holding conversations and collecting rumours. These have been taken up and spun further in the form of textile objects, items of clothing and the magazine "Rumor", which will be presented for the first time.

Prior to the presentation, the artists' collective will give an insight into their research and artistic practice in a discussion with Christiane Meyer-Stoll and the audience. In cooperation with Liechtensteinische Kunstgesellschaft.

    Free admission.

  • Reading

    Bösch. Fiedler. Ospelt.
    Writing and speaking art

    In cooperation with Literaturhaus Liechtenstein.

The authors Gabriele Bösch (AT), Heike Fiedler (D/CH) and Mathias Ospelt (LI) write, read and perform texts on works from the exhibition Silver Suits You. 25 Years Loving Art. Literature meets visual art and the result is texts and performances that only this place, this spirit, can create.

In 2025, Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein celebrates its 25th anniversary. The exhibition Silver Suits You. 25 Years Loving Art marks the start of the anniversary year: with a selection of 25 works from the collection – one work from each of the acquisitions made between 2000 and 2024 – as well as three proposals for possible acquisitions, the museum looks back and develops visions for the future. Stories from the past 25 years were collected for this purpose. Artistically realised by Eliane Schädler and Adam Vogt, they form a resonating space around the history of the collection in the exhibition.

  • Screening

Dedicated to the Youth of the World II/III, 2019/2023

by Roman Khimei and Yarema Malashchuk

From 10am to 5pm in the auditorium

During the last two weeks of the exhibition Silver Suits You. 25 Years Loving Art, Dedicated to the Youth of the World – in several versions part of the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein collection – will be shown during museum opening hours.

Dedicated to the Youth of the World III  is a re-enactment of the film of the same name by Roman Khimei and Yarema Malashchuk from 2019, which documented the rave Сxema in Kyiv. While the Kyiv youth in that film reclaimed their post-revolutionary city in an intimate yet mass-celebrated nocturnal ritual – a moment of unrestricted freedom – the new version was created against a completely different backdrop. The artists decided to re-stage the party in September 2023 under the constant threat of danger. They focused on the people who took the place of the previous rave participants after a prolonged pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The two films from 2019 and 2023 are juxtaposed in the projection.

    Circadian

Performance by Gabriela Lesmes López and Nina Frommelt
Afterparty with live music and DJ
An event organised by Kunstverein Schichtwechsel.

The street is a space for movement and play at the same time – not a neutral place, but characterised by rules, routines and chance encounters. A space in which realities collide and coexist.

In the performance Circadian, Gabriela Lesmes López and Nina Frommelt examine the street as a place of traversal, trade and play. Circadian works with the natural rhythm of street life – with its actors, props and disturbances. The performance takes place both in the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein and on the street, with both spaces acting as interwoven stages.

  • Lecture

    Strassen als Lebensräume

by Niklaus Reichle; followed by a round table discussion

Today, roads are mainly used for driving or walking. That's why they are asphalted, fitted with pavements, marked and decorated with white or blue rectangles. Yellow stripes and traffic lights regulate crossing. It is a space that is sometimes filled almost carelessly. In a flash, the area is tarmaced. The traffic moves and the cars park. The rules are clear. But the space between the houses is actually much more than just mobility infrastructure. And it has actually been used for many other purposes for a long time. Even today, everyday social life takes place in the street space. This is where children grow up, people meet and all sorts of things happen. However, this is often overlooked and is repeatedly marginalised in the everyday practice of traffic planners and civil engineering authorities. Because traffic has to flow.

Niklaus Reichle addresses the role of perception processes in public space, highlights artistic initiatives that deal with roads and frames the many asphalted areas of the city as central living spaces – as places that virtually demand artistic reflection.

Kristina Groß has been working as a curator at the Ravensburg Art Museum since 2019, focussing on exhibitions from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Most recently, she realised the exhibition project Walk This Way  with 25 artistic positions. The exhibition (9 November 2024 – 23 February 2025, Kunstmuseum Ravensburg) spanned an arc from the 1960s to the present day and drew attention to works by contemporary artists in which the city becomes a stage and the act of walking becomes an artistic statement.

The artist Liesbet Hermans works at the interface between performance, installation and public intervention. The performative walk A Deluded State of Mind  invites small groups to follow a performer on two walks through Vaduz. Participants listen to the inner monologue (in English) of the person in front via headphones. Silence and spontaneous associations alternate and create a dialogue between the presence of the unknown other and the walkers. Every thought heard influences how the audience perceives the surroundings – until the boundary between observation and interpretation becomes blurred.

    Kettcar

In cooperation with poolbar festival, Feldkirch.
    Location: poolbar-Festival, Feldkirch.
    Admission: 18.30

We are delighted to be able to continue our long-standing cooperation with poolbar festival in Feldkirch this year. And we are particularly looking forward to this item on the festival programme:

One of the most influential German indie rock bands of the noughties will be visiting the poolbar festival. Quite a few people categorise the quintet in the context of the so-called Hamburg School – a pigeonhole that band leader Marcus Wiebusch has never been able to do anything with. He doesn't have to, because Kettcar's records speak for themselves. The current album «Gute Laune ungerecht verteilt», released in 2024, documents the band's very own strengths: powerful lyrics and great songwriting go hand in hand. A feat that not many can achieve.

    On the Street

10am to 12pm Workshop Gehen in der Stadt
Joint explorations in the exhibition and on the street with Rahel Spöhrer
16pm Performance Ceremony (Ausläuten) by Martina Morger
    In cooperation with Liechtensteinische Kunstgesellschaft.

Strolling, promenading, strolling, jumping, crawling, scurrying, hurrying, rushing ... We move through the streets at different speeds and in many different ways, making our way through the thicket of the city. As we walk, we draw lines, connect places, weave a web of memories and meanings. We appropriate urban space, perceive it – sometimes more, sometimes less consciously – through our senses, explore it and actualise its possibilities.

In a workshop, curator Rahel Spöhrer invites you to stroll through the exhibition On the Street, pausing at selected artistic works that place a special focus on walking, and – following the tradition of the «Dérive» according to Guy Debord – invites you to leave the museum, explore the streets and enter into a conversation while strolling: about artistic practices and the appropriation of space, about the poetics of the everyday – and to perceive the familiar, the streets of Vaduz, anew with all your senses.

Rahel Gloria Spöhrer is a curator, dramaturge and lecturer at the interface of performance and visual arts. She has been curatorial director of the artsprogram at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen since 2021.

Performance and multimedia artist Martina Morger kicked off On the Street with Ceremony (Einläuten). Like a modern procession, she paraded through the town of Vaduz, from the government building to the Liechtenstein Art Museum, wearing a specially made dress decorated with bells. With Ceremony (Ausläuten), the second part of the performance, she takes the same route in the opposite direction and brings the exhibition to a close.
